"Their honesty, vulnerability and sense of humor made me feel like I was hanging out with friends and I needed that desperately in a time I felt so alone. Their approach to sobriety-that it’s awesome, way better and something to love as opposed to something to slog through in misery was so easy to internalize because they spoke of it in such a genuine way. I wanted what they had! "

"Love Sober is the go-to community for women questioning their drinking in the midlife"

Postcards from the Midlife

A note from the Founder

Love Sober was founded in 2019 as a space to provide ongoing support for our Flagship 3 month Group Coaching  Love Sober Life School and as a community we have grown. Some of us are reaching 4 plus years sober, some of us celebrating 1000 days, 100 days or just starting out. Some of us are returning, some of going through menopause, some of us grieving, some of us are on holiday or going back to school! Whatever the weather we are connecting as sober and sober curious women, doing this strange and beautiful thing called Life.

We realised that the key to making sobriety stick was making it satisfying, rich, enjoyable and creative - whatever creative means to us. We realised that self care and connection are key. Many of us found that when we stopped drinking we needed to replace those hours and keep ourselves occupied, keep those hands busy... in the good times it's fun and in the hard times it's much needed time out and comfort.

Our natural curiosity and creativity led us to old childhood hobbies, noticing nature more, finding yoga picking up some crochet hooks, writing and reading more. in essence, we expanded beyond the early effort and muscle power needed for early sobriety and want to keep going.

In honour of ourselves, our ever-expanding layers of interest and the fact that we actually really love hanging out together, supporting each other and cheerleading we are hosting online meetings to share these things with each other.

We hope you'll join us. Love Kate X
